My sister-in-law's sister attended church in this building, until it burned down last sunday during meetings.
This story is not first-hand, but here is the story I got from my sister-in-law:
The fire broke out in the attic and quickly spread throughout the building. Everyone got out ok. They quickly grabbed pictures off the walls, hymnbooks, scriptures, etc., and were handing them down the line to get them out of the building when the fire first broke out. The Baptist church down the street came to help. Now that's the Christian Spirit!
This chapel is in Cambridge, Massachusettes, and many prominent LDS leaders have passed through this building since it was dedicated in 1951. I suppose that would include Kim Clark, President at BYUI, as well as other Apostles and leaders.
I suppose the videos were taken by attenders and bystanders using their cell phones.
Watch video here, here and here.

As Primary President, this has made me think, "What would our plan be if this happened in our building, that was also built in the 1950s."
My heart goes out to those who are affected by and are dealing with the loss at this time. God Bless You!
