Where to Find Coupons

I get asked, "Where do you get coupons?"

My answer is, lots of places. Here are some of they places I get them most often:
  • Coupons.com
  • Pillsbury.com
  • Bettycrocker.com
  • Home Made Simple, Sign up here
  • The Post Register (They will be matching the Pocatello paper deal: $17 for daily plus 4 more on Sunday. Beginning in August, they will have all the inserts: Red Plum, Smart Source, and Proctor & Gamble)
  • Peelies (Do not take these off products you do not buy)
  • Hangtags (please don't take them if you don't plan to use them right away)
  • Blinkies (the boxes with blinking lights by the products in the store)
  • Friends & Neighbors who know I coupon and they don't use them
  • Newspaper
  • Parade Magazine in Post Register
  • Redplum.com
  • All You Magazine
  • Other Magazines

Once you start looking for them, you will see them in places you didn't know they were. See my sidebar for more ideas.

KMart Super Coupon Deals

I stopped by KMart to check out their deals and here are a few I found:

Tearpad for $2/1 Old Spice, Gillette, or (I can't remember which ladies brand) Deodorant
Old Spice was only $2.69 This coupon does restrict 1 per transaction and cannot be combined with any other coupon, even though it's a KMart coupon. The other brands were $4 or more.

Tearpad for FREE Regular Clorox Bleach wyb Clorox 2
Then, there's a hangtag on the Clorox 2 to try it free, after rebate. You will need to send in your original Register Receipt. This also restricts 1 per transaction and cannot be combined with any other coupon.

Final Cost: Both FREE!

Pictureka Card Games, $5.99, use $5/1 coupon here Print 2!
Final Cost: $0.99 each

They also had several toys and games on clearance with an additional 20% off the clearance price. There was an additional 40% off clearance clothing.

Albertson's Meat Deal

Tonight, I stopped in at Albertson's to see if they had an item I was waiting for. They didn't. BUT. . . I found this great deal. An employee was standing at the front of the store handing out coupons and explaining this deal.

I bought 10 Kraft BBQ Sauce 10/$10
Received $5 off instantly
I had 5 $0.50 coupons
Paid $2.50 for 10 BBQ Sauces
Used 5 MC for $2 off meat wyb 2 BBQ Sauce (These were given to me by the employee)
I bought 4 Hormel Pork Loin & 1 4-pack Pork Chops, all in the "Always Tender" line of products
All five had $2 Manager's Special coupons attached
I also used 5 $1 coupons off Hormel "Always Tender" items.
Total paid: $2.50, plus tax

I paid $2.50 for $25 worth of Pork and 10 BBQ Sauces.

Now that's a Super Coupon Deal!

How Do I Get Started?

I've talked to a few friends lately about Couponing. I've done what I can to help you get started, but I'm no pro. One of the blogs I follow frequently (ok daily) is A Thrifty Mom. She recently had a question about getting started and determining how much to spend each week on groceries and how much to spend "stockpiling". Here is her response.
